Royal, Celebrity, or Virgin?
Kids vs no kids is still the first fork. Virgin does not take anyone under 18. Royal is the family mega-ship. Celebrity sits in between.
Royal Caribbean
The big-ship line. Oasis- and Icon-class ships are floating resorts. Best when you want kids clubs, a boardwalk, and seven nights from Florida.
Celebrity Cruises
Royal’s premium sister. Edge-class ships feel more hotel than theme park. Kids are welcome; the energy is not built around them.
Virgin Voyages
No one under 18. Wi-Fi, group fitness, and gratuities are in the fare. Scarlet Lady out of Miami is the usual first booking.
